As we end 2022, I want to share with all of our friends an inspiring piece of journalism that was published earlier this year in the Atlantic. It is a lengthy read, but most certainly worth your time if you desire to have a greater understanding of the public conflicts which dominate our culture today.
The piece is bleak but hopeful, “when we look away from our dysfunctional federal government, disconnect from social media and talk with our neighbors directly, things seem more hopeful. Most Americans in the More in Common report are members of the “exhausted majority,” which is tired of the fighting and is willing to listen to the other side and compromise.”
Certainly, Arizona’s elections point to the truth of that statement, it’s time we all get to work doing many of the things Haidt suggests in this article.
Happy New Year, keep the faith, and enjoy the opportunities life provides.
