While November to February may be motion picture awards season, for the public affairs and political industry, the big-time national awards are handed out in the springtime. The prestigious Reed Awards from Campaigns & Elections were announced late last month in Las Vegas and the Pollie Awards, the AAPC’s “Oscars of political advertising,” were recently revealed last week in Palm Springs.
HighGround is proud to announce that the firm earned a total of six national awards for our work on behalf of our amazing clients. The team won awards on behalf of public affairs efforts and campaign clients in the realm of online, design, direct mail, and radio addressing important topics including water, infrastructure, education, and democracy.
The Reed Awards, named after Campaigns & Elections’ founder Stanley Foster Reed, recognize excellence in campaign management, political consulting, and political design. The HighGround team was on hand to take home three awards including:
• Best Online Video – 30 Seconds – Save Democracy
• Best Online Video for Public Affairs Campaign or Issue Advocacy – Infrastructure – Maricopa Momentum
• Most Original/Innovative Collateral Item – Vicki Hunt
The Pollie Awards (Pollies) are bipartisan honors awarded annually by the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) to members of the political advertising and communications industry who have demonstrated superior work on behalf of their candidates and causes. A blind jury of their professional peers selects AAPC award winners. Esquire magazine has dubbed the Pollies “the Oscars of political advertising.” The HighGround team took home three more awards:
• Best Radio Campaign – Gold – The Wild West – No Rules, Free Water
• Direct Mail – Public Affairs/Issue Advocacy Division – Silver – The Tanque Verde Times
• Yard/Outdoor Sign – Silver – Yes for a Safer Mesa
HighGround’s work has earned over 100 national and local awards including being named the “2022 Best Lobbying Firm & 2022 Best Public Relations Firm” at the Arizona Capitol Times Best of the Capitol.
