Every once and awhile you read an article which makes life’s hard learned lessons seem so clear that you just have to pass it along. So is the case with this story in the NY Times Sunday Magazine, concerning Jason Everman. Just keep your feet moving and life is an incredible experience. Don’t ever give up.
In Doris Kearn’s Goodwin’s book, “Lincoln”, she wrote of Lincoln, “Having hope means that one will not give into overwhelming anxiety, a defeatist attitude, or depression in the face of difficult challenges or setbacks. Hope is more than the sunny view that everything will turn out all right; it is believing that you have the will and the way to accomplish your goals.”
Jason Everman certainly is a hope-filled man. Read the story, it is remarkable.
