As many of you who have read this blog over the years know, I am very fond of the commentary of David Brooks.
His column this morning was one of those moments, in the midst of the storm of 2020, that reminds me of why I do the things I do at HighGround… It is about relationships, the cultivation, maturation and joy I have experienced over the years from the many, many people I have been blessed to meet, and work with for the past 35 years in Arizona.
Mr. Brooks writes about, in the column, his life long relationship with Mark Shields who will be retiring this year from their weekly appearance on the Newshour program, which both my wife and I endeavor to watch and listen to each week.
As is often the case, Mr. Brooks expresses those sentiments much better than I could ever do and I wanted to share those thoughts with all of my friends and colleagues who I have been blessed to get to know over my professional career here in Arizona.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah and may 2021 be the result of the refining experience of 2020.
