Start to finish: from legislative passage to voter approval
Highground, Inc. was the principal public affairs and lobbying
consultant for the legislation that authorized the creation of the
new Maricopa County Hospital District on behalf of Maricopa County.
Following the successful passage of the legislation, Highground was
retained as the principal campaign consultant for the Yes on 414
Committee.
Proposition 414 won voter approval from Maricopa County voters
in November of 2003. Early Balloting accounted for 50% of the vote
and won with 63% support. Overall, Proposition 414 achieved a 58%
approval by voters. The campaign website www.yeson414.com also won
a national Pollie Award.
